By General Moyo
The Makause Covid-19 Campaign, in partnership with the African Reclaimers Organization (ARO), managed to organise, register and distribute over 200 bags of Maizemeal, Jiks, Soaps, Beans and drinks. Makause Covid-19 Campaign is now getting calls from organised groups in the communities and settlements looking for assistance and guidance.
We are now organising contract workers in the Construction Industry, Retail Stores, Domestic Workers, Artisan Miners (Small Scale Miners) and Sex Workers. Whilst continuing with the Makause Covid-19 Campaign, we are also challenging GBV, Inequality, Deepening Poverty, Hunger & Starvation in Makause Informal Settlement. Makause Covid-19 Campaign, is soldering on in providing support, assistance, food relief, essential supplies and medication to the vulnerable, sick and frail. Our priority groups are single mothers, child-headed homes, elderly, pregnant women & learners.
With the assistance of good Samaritans, Makause Covid-19 Campaign have started a GoFundMe fundraiser. While most are struggling during this time, even a small donation can make an enormous difference in this community. An outbreak within this community would be devastating, and it is crucial that they are given a fighting chance to protect themselves. Please support us by donating here.
