R2K’s Activist Tabloid: Get a copy of Your Right2Know (Oct 2017)

Our latest tabloid newspaper – Your Right2Know – highlights the struggle for media freedom by commemorating the National Press Freedom Day also known as the Black Wednesday. This day reminds us of the lengths to which paranoid, unaccountable and corrupt states will go to suppress dissent. It also celebrates the victory for the Marikana informal settlement. This comes after the Cape High Court dismissed the City of Cape Town’s bid to evict 60,000 residents of Marikana after occupying a vacant land in Philippi in 2012.
