The three recently withdrew from the Commission in protest of the Commission’s corruption, citing four key reasons for their withdrawal.
The Arms Procurement Commission was appointed by President Jacob Zuma in 2011 as a result of almost 15 years of pressure by civil society groups to investigate alleged corruption in the country’s multi-billion rand arms procurement deal in 1999.
