The Right2Know Campaign marched in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, calling on companies that advertise with the public broadcaster to stop doing so.
The SABC announced that its embattled former chief operations officer would be reverting back to his former position as group executive of corporate affairs.
“The Right2Know Campaign will be holding a national day of action in response to the ongoing SABC crisis on Wednesday, 28 September 2016. This day marks the International Right to Know Day and we will be observing it by marching to top SABC advertisers and calling on them to pull their adverts on SABC until meaningful steps to address the crisis at the public broadcaster are taken,” the Right2Know said in a statement.
