The Treatment Action Campaign (TAC), Social Justice Coalition (SJC), Equal Education (EE) and Right to know (R2K) are opposing the Protection of Information Bill (the Secrecy Bill) This bill is a proposed law that would give officials even more power to make many kinds of government information a secret.
Information such as the court case proceedings, housing and sanitation, education etc could all be labeled as classified information should this bill be passed through.
